Integrated Web Guiding Solution

Integrated Web Guiding Machine

A compact, high-precision and ready-to-use automatic web guiding system for modern roll-to-roll production lines.

The Integrated Web Guiding Machine combines the controller, servo drive, sensor, actuator, motor, ball screw and guide roller into one compact unit. Compared with traditional split-type web guiding systems, it offers higher integration, faster response, easier deployment and significantly reduced installation complexity, making it an ideal choice for printing, packaging, lithium battery, photovoltaic and non-woven production applications.

Product Details

01

All-in-One System Integration

Integrates the controller, servo drive, sensor, actuator and guide roller into one compact unit, eliminating the need for an additional external control system.

02

Ready to Install and Use

Parameters and system calibration are completed before delivery. On-site installation only requires fixed mounting and power connection.

03

Extremely Compact Footprint

The overall size is only about one-third to one-quarter of a traditional split-type system, making it suitable for equipment upgrades and space-limited production lines.

04

Simplified Wiring Design

Internal wiring is pre-connected, and only 1–2 external cables are required, helping reduce wiring errors and electromagnetic interference.

Designed for Faster Deployment and Stable Web Control Installation time can be reduced from the traditional 2–3 days to approximately 2–4 hours, improving production efficiency and reducing commissioning costs.
Compact · Precise · Easy Setup

Integrated Web Guiding Machine FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the integrated linear servo web guiding system, including system structure, guiding modes, sensor options, operation, and troubleshooting.

1. Product Overview

What type of web guiding system is the integrated web guiding machine?
The integrated web guiding machine is a linear servo web guiding control system. It detects the material position through an edge sensor, performs PID calculation, and then drives the actuator to align the material accurately.
What are the core components of the system?
The system mainly consists of the following parts:
  • Controller: 4.3-inch color touch screen with a 32-bit 72M CPU.
  • Sensor: Optional PS-400S photoelectric sensor or US-400S ultrasonic sensor.
  • Actuator: Linear servo actuator.

2. Main Interface

What do the two indicator bars on the main interface represent?
The two indicator bars display the real-time sensor and motor position status:
  • Upper indicator bar: Edge sensor indicator bar. It displays the real-time deviation of the web material from the center of the sensor.
  • Lower indicator bar: Motor position indicator bar. It displays the current position of the actuator in real time.

3. Guiding Modes and Sensors

What web guiding modes and sensor types are supported?
The system supports three web guiding modes, which can be switched with one touch:
  • Left edge guiding / Right edge guiding: EPC mode.
  • Center guiding: CPC mode.
Supported sensor types include:
  1. PS-400S photoelectric sensor: Detection accuracy of ±0.05 mm.
  2. US-400S ultrasonic sensor: Detection accuracy of ±0.1 mm, no calibration required.
How can the guiding direction be adjusted?
There are two adjustment methods:
  1. Shortcut method: Tap the “Direction +” button directly on the main interface to switch the automatic web guiding direction with one touch.
  2. Menu method: Go to Settings → Motor → Forward/Reverse Setting. The manual direction, automatic direction, and motor display direction can be modified separately.
How can I tell whether the edge sensor is in the center position?
Check the indicator light on the edge sensor itself. When one light is on, it means the sensor probe is in the center position.
Does automatic stroke measurement need to be performed frequently?
No. In general, automatic stroke measurement only needs to be performed once during the first installation or after the actuator is reinstalled. The system will automatically memorize the measurement result.

4. Common Problems

What should I do if rough material edges cause the system to move frequently?
Increase the Dead Band parameter appropriately. This allows the system to ignore small edge fluctuations and reduces unnecessary actuator movement.
What should I do if the web guiding response is too slow in automatic mode?
Increase the I value, which is the integral coefficient in the sensitivity setting. The higher the value, the faster the system response.
What should I do if the actuator easily hits the mechanical limit during operation?
Go to Motor → Stroke Movement Range, and reduce the pulse values of the left and right limits. This limits the actuator movement range through software and helps prevent collision with the mechanical limit.
What may cause the motor to get stuck or the servo motor to be undetected?
Possible causes include poor wiring connection, unsmooth mechanical structure, motor failure, or controller failure. Check the wiring, mechanical movement, servo motor, and controller status one by one.
